What is a portable induction cooktop? First, let’s clarify what induction heating is: Induction heating is the process of heating up a conducting object like a pot by using electromagnetic induction. This sounds very complicated, while in reality the process itself is very easy. You combine a specific heating process with the right “connector” (here: cooktop) and that way you are able to cook.

Induction cookers or Induction cooktops are faster and more energy-efficient compared to traditional cooktops. Unlike traditional cooktops, the pot itself is heated to the desired temperature rather than heating the stovetop. A portable induction cooktop is almost like “cooking on wheels”. You take the “oven/stovetop” with you – be it in your kitchen as an extra cooking zone or take it right into your dining room for an extra special dinner experience.
